How to fix the Grey screen and Stuck Power switch?

My Kindle has suddenly given up on me.It has frozen and now shows a grey screen...

Once the screen timeout is over it switches off but if i connect it to a power socket it goes back to same grey screen ....

i cannot try and reset the power since the power switch seems to be stuck too...
