Software or Hardware Problem?

I completed the procedure to substitute my not-working left speaker as shown in the guide. When I start the system the speaker makes a popping sound and then stops working (the right speaker works perfectly). Any help?

Did you try replacing the speaker?

Yes, I replaced it with a new one since the component was broken and rusty.
