Sound not working after earphone jack replacement whats the problem?

Ive worked on alot of theese phones before and on this mega the headphone jack quit working after being connected to an aux cable. The phone dose not make any sound as if the headphones where connected but nothing can be heard trough the 3.5mm output. I replaced the earphone jack with a good one and the problem still exists. Is there a differant solution that may be software related or may it be a motherboard fault?
