Bluetooth Not Available after Module Upgrade

I upgraded Bluetooth module in a 2010 MacBook Pro, after doing so, I get a no Bluetooth device available message. My wifi, which I believe is part of the upgraded module, works perfectly. With that new module not working, I then reinstalled the old Bluetooth card and the message still appeared and Bluetooth was unavailable. I tried the resets outlined in many posts including SMC and PRAM. I am using yosemite. To help clarify, both cards are showing in system profile when they are installed in the network section. Bluetooth is where it says is missing. Any ideas?

Did you first enable Bluetooh in System Preferences> and then add a Bluethooth Service to your network? At the bottom of the left hand pane there are a + a - and a * (gear). Click the + and create a Bluetooth connection.

One other thing to try - from System Preferences make a new account and see if you can enable Bluetooth in it.
