Screen Doesn't Stay Down After Replacement

I tried setting a stack of books on the iPod and other things like that, but the adhesive you provided me in my order doesn't appear to be keeping the screen down. Is there a tool that will "clamp down" on the iPod to hopefully get it in position long enough that the adhesive eventually holds it down?

There are a bunch of threads on here that are very detailed describing everyone's tips and tricks with the touch 4 screen lifting. It is a difficult problem that boils down to needing the frame to be 100% square and everything 100% perfect inside. If the screen doesn't snap in firmly w/o adhesive, then it will always have a lift. You have to edit the assembly, possibly replacing the whole frame, until you get that perfect fit. The adhesive is just a small crutch. Never use glue or epoxy in a phone--IMO

It's all good underneath. They provided me the adhesive strips that are on a sheet. You just peel them off the sheet and apply them to where they go on the iPod. Then, you peel off the protective layer on the adhesive and just lay the screen over all the adhesive areas you just applied.

personally mate, im not a fan of them strips, i know exactly what you are talking about, i prefer using different type of adhesive for an ipod, because its got no screws to help hold it down, you need something strong, try using a stronger glue/tape

Yup had same issue on iPod i was fixing for a friend ended up using epoxy
