Battery not charging when the main charger is on

The micro-USB connector seems to be very fragile. Mine broke free from the motherboard after 6 months of use. I was luicky enough to have a wireless charging solution (Powerbot is the brand) which worked for me until I could replace the USB port on my device. Replacing it required ordering a part, de-soldering the broken piece, and soldering on the new port. I found a replacement part at a cell phone repair store for less than $10. I attached a picture.
