My rear door wont shut
The catch on the rear door of my 52 reg C3 is not working. The door simply wont shut no matter what i do?

Had that happen to me once. Somehow the latch gets in the closed position with the door open and blocks closing. Here's what I did--with the door open make sure its unlocked and operate the door handle. Hold it open and using a screwdriver flip the door latch to the open position. It should operate normally then. Good luck. Ralph

Thanks ralph, i tried your suggestion and unfortunatley no joy. i have taken it to a garage to be told the lock mechonisim has gone. £170!!
I know this post is very old but just in case you see it - Ralph, you are a lifesaver! I just had this problem on the hard shoulder of the M25 (my toddler had opened the door while we were driving, I pulled over to shut it and fix child lock and someone this happened). Tried to fix it but couldn’t work it out, saw your solution and it worked like a charm - I am SO grateful!
