So I went to use my computer and it appears the trackpad button is stuck in mid-action, so I can not use the keys to access anything :( I read that it may be a piece of debris as the button feels slightly raised in the center, but either end appears to move freely.
I tried compressed air, but that didn't work. Looks like the fix maybe a new casing or a new computer?
Plan to fire wire back up this week then off to genius bar.
Any thoughts, suggestions.

inspect from underneath (back or inside) for foreign objects or loose ribbon cables. If none of those are found you can always replace the top case.

Maybe there's something stuck under the trackpad button. You may try to slide a double folded paper sheet under the clic pad to remove the intruder.
