Good SSD with a good price?

Hi guys,

I was willing to buy corsair SSD driver 250G and it cost more then 600$ but then I have changed my mind it is too pricey for me.

So what do you suggest me to get? a good and fast SSD with a price suite me and suite everyone.

Note: I already have corsair 8G rams installed

AlSO: please what is the best online webssite that sells MacBook Pro accessories with good prices? (protections, etc)

Well the point is, at this stage, SSDs are very expensive, next year my bet is they'll cost about what HDDs cost today. iFixit has some of the best prices for parts, and you can see their selection of SSDs here. Unfortunately, as I said, that $600 for 250 gigs sounds about right, you could be able to get slightly better deals on used drives, but that's pretty much where the storage situation is at today. If you want better prices, unfortunately you'll have to wait it out. I mean, next year every MacBook is gonna have SSD by default anyways, the only thing that's holding back SSDs from becoming mainstream is price ATM.

Well what I use personally in my computers are a Corsair P128 in my Dell D630, Corsair P256 in my MacBook Pro and a Crucial RealSSD 256 GB in my iMac 27". Like rab said, it is a fairly expensive technology, but if you can afford it, its amazing. If you can't buy the bigger capacities now, you have to settle with slower or less capacity drives.

I just bought a 240GB Mercury Extreme Pro SSD (the same as the one sold on OWC's website here: http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/internal_...) for $400 off of eBay, brand new, and it was shipped overnight for free, with no taxes.

Can't wait to get it installed to see what difference it will make on my late 2009 17" MacBook Pro.
