Looking for replacement optical drive heat sensor

Hey all,

I recently replaced the optical drive (OD) with an SSD in my 2009 27" i7 iMac. Unfortunately, when I attempted to remove the OD from the computer, the optical drive heat sensor cable snapped off from the sensor on the OD.

Since I don't think there is a way to reattach the cable to the actual sensor, I wanted to know if I could find either the exact sensor for this model, or if there was an interchangeable sensor I could purchase instead. I have a Seagate hard drive for the primary HDD heat sensor, in case that matters.

According to the little black sticker tag on the heat sensor, the part number is 593-1149. Everywhere I look, the part is either out of stock, ridiculously expensive, or isn't sold. Is there another heat sensor for the optical drive that I could use to attach to the SSD? Please provide the part number or a link so I can easily locate it.

Incidentally, when I do get the new heat sensor, where should I place it on the SSD? On the optical bay caddy or the SSD itself, and does it matter?
