So for a friend I have offered to fix their htc xl and they ordered the part, I now have a htc LCD screen that is minus the plastic frame that adheres to the back.
Any ideas on how these come apart.
I know they are usually sold as a whole part however customer now jumping up and down despite them ordering wrong part!

Feel free to mark answered. The key is heating the old screen around the edges and carefully removing. It goes against every principle of mine I.e having previously fixed iPhone etc but by doing this you can remove the screen from the plate and reuse the plastic frame.
A heat gun and flat head screwdriver should be used
