Home Button Cable Broke - How to replace?

After a drop, I bought the iPad 4 Wi-fi replacement screen kit (glass + tools). While removing the old glass, we successfully navigated around the wi-fi antennae, but we accidentally severed the home button ribbon cable from the button itself.

I could not locate a replacement home button in the store and was wondering what the best remedy would be.
