no LCD backlight sometimes, is it the inverter?

My MacBook LCD suddenly started behaving weird, sometimes i open the MacBook to find the screen in black, i can see whats on the screen if i put it iin front of light, if i closed the laptop and open it for 2 or 3 times, it works like nothing happened, i read some answeres here about the inverter and inverter cableand the LCD bulb, so , what is it most probably, and another question, i'm in germany, so do you know where can i buy thse parts from?

Thanks

hi ahmed,

well - it could be one of the 3 things you mentioned

the easiest way would be getting a working lid with everything in it.

changing the ccfl tubes are no real fun and you can't buy them without the complete lcd.

did you ever disassembled your MacBook or was it a used one from ebay ?

the inverter cable could be pinched or frayed.

aus welcher ecke kommst du denn ?

kannst mir ja mal schreiben: markus.weiher@gmail.com

I have the same problem. I've been leaving the screen open but the kids move it occasionally or it goes black on its own sometimes. Same symptoms as you. I thought it was the inverter but I dissembled the bezel and if I use a little tool to poke/jiggle the wires in the following pic http://guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/hoYqv... through the hole the wires travel into from the monitor to the motherboard. It doesn't make sense because it says those wires are for the antenna but it works every time.
