ps3 slim freezing problems

Hello

My Ps3 slimline console freezes if I try to watch Netflix on it. Locks up completely if I try to load BBC Iplayer. Constantlly freezes if I put any disc in it. But if I watch a film that ive streamed to the harddrive it plays perfect. I don't play games on it. Opened it and cleaned it. Done all the restores. Wiped hardrive. Tried everything I can think of. No joy. was wondering if the processor may be failing. Appreciate any help. I have a good broadband connection and have it wired. It worked brilliantly about 6 weeks ago?
