I'm trying to remove the black plastic strip on the bottom of the lid/top/cover. I want to replace the cable for the screen and its under that strip. It's a 1 piece strip, underneath the screen and the computer body. Not sure what its called, "barrel". But I would like to remove it to get access to the cable for the screen.

Thanks machead for the response. I did look through the step-by-step guide and didn't see the guide. Your link did show the removal of the widowless window. But they called it as the "lower display bezel".
They loctited the screws so well that the screwhead stripped. GRRR
Now to find a way to get those screws loose.
