Why is my LCD weak when touched and dark corners?

When touching the screen ever so slightly it shows the same characteristics that would happen when you really push a screen hard, especially around the edges of the screen. As well as this there are dark areas in every corner of the screen. is this the LCD or the backlight?

Sounds like a bad connection likely to the data display cable or the control board for the LCD most likely on the back of the screen... your putting pressure on the corners causes the display to rock, stressing the short or connector.
