Sometimes the computer locks up and I get a message that I must shut the computer down by pressing and holding the on/off button. I may have to go through this several times before the computer returns to normal.
What must be done to correct this problem? Supply any and all recommendations.

Boot from the system disk but do not install. Select utilities/disk repair and run disk repair until it reports no trouble found. If this doesn't correct your problem let us know. Ralph
