Water damaged MacBook Unibody Model A1342 . The screen is very dark, but everything else seems to be running. When you get in close with a flashlight, you can see the image faintly. As I understood it, everything is working but the "backlight" isn´t working.?
Please help in what I need to check or change.
Could it for example be the inverter? How to change that then?

Yes it could be the inverter, or the data display cable connector. Clean the connectors replace the inverter.

a1342 led have no separated inverter... so mean that the only way is to change display :(
