iPhone 5s: Shows apple logo for 1 sec and then goes black?

Hey there....

I have replaced the loudspeaker on an IPhone 5s...

The phone worked well before, the only problem was no sound.

Now it wont boot into IOS.. When i press the on/off button, it shows apple logo for 1 sec, and then screen goes black. But i can see that there are light in the screen (on the side when its not assempled),

If i try to start it by holding the on/off button, it shows the logo for 5-6 seconds and then goes black.

I have tried to go to recovery mode (or what it is called), but it wont let me.

Now i have replaced the bottom cable, with jack, charger and microphone on... Still nothing happens..

I have tried to connect a broken screen, but also with the same result.

The only thing i now believe it could be, is the battery. The first time i changed the part, i took the battery out. And when i was trying to boot the Iphone, i said that there was no power on, but the phone was fulle charged before i started.

Could it be a damaged battery??

Or is there someone that have an idea of what else could be wrong???

iPhone 5s: iPhone 5s - Infinite boot loop (after screen replacement)

Hi,

After I replaced the LCD digitizer on an iPhone 5s, it has gone into an infinite boot loop:

1. You can see the Apple logo for about 1 min.

2. The LCD turns bluish.

3. Restarts and does the same thing again.

4. After the second time, the phone turns it self off, and it is no longer possible to turn it on again. If I remove the battery, and then up it back in, the same thing happens.

I've tried replacing the battery and cleaning the connectors with isopropyl alcohol, but no luck.

Here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IiF7B33...

iPhone 5s: iPhone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be

After formatting my iPhone 5s for selling, I went to the normal front page for setting it up. As normal I did the setup, but then when the activation page came it loaded for a while and then the message 'iphone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached' comes up. I tried retrying for a long time but no luck. Besides as found from the web to connect to iTunes and restore/update, I followed those steps too but still the same thing comes. (When I put a Sim card it the signal strength comes up and there is nothing written beside it... Any solutions? Would be a lifesaver

iPhone 5s: Rear camera and flash don't work

Greetings! First post here.

Recently, while in the dark, I noticed that my flashlight (camera flash) on my iPhone 5S was no longer working when activated from the control center. I then began to debug it by rebooting, resetting and then finally by upgrading from iOS8 to iOS9. None of these fixed my problems but during the investigation, I noticed that the rear camera was no longer working as well. After some internet searching I do not really have a clear idea of whats wrong, as such, is why I am here.

This is something that I would like to try and fix myself if possible but would like some ideas of what else could be wrong here and if there are any additional debug steps. After hopefully identifying the problem, I will likely need to purchase the part(s) and doing the repair... so any thoughts or advice here would be welcome as well.

Thanks in Advance.

iPhone 5s: Why would the home button work, but not Touch ID?

I own a small Apple repair business, and have done a large number of iPhone screen repairs... everything from the iPhone 3G up to the iPhone 5S. I have only done a handful of 5S repairs thus far though, and haven't had any issues until now. The problem I'm having with a customer's phone is with Touch ID. Now, I'm fully aware that the home button flex cable that ships with a 5S is unique to that particular phone, and cannot be replaced while still preserving Touch ID functionality. Repairs don't generally make me nervous anymore, but 5S repairs do because of this....so, I'm extremely careful.

With this particular 5S, I successfully replaced the screen, only to discover that the part was faulty (defective digitizer). However, I know that Touch ID was functioning after this first screen was installed because I did test. I then installed another new part, everything went well and the part tested fine this time. I did not specifically test Touch ID functionality, but I do know that the home button was working. I've always figured that if the home button is working, then Touch ID is going to function.

The customer called me today to let me know that Touch ID is indeed not functioning at all, but the home button is. This seems very strange to me, and the only thing I can think of is that I didn't get the home button flex cable connector properly seated when I put everything back together. I will have a chance to open the phone back up tomorrow, but in the mean time I was trying to do a little research on potential causes for this as well as potential fixes. Of course, my hope is that removing the bracket, disconnecting, and reconnecting the flex cable will do the trick. Of course, unfortunately the simple solution isn't always the answer.

Numerous searches on here, Google, and other websites have turned up nothing with regards to this problem. Everything I can find relates to the unique relationship between the original home button cable and the motherboard, but that's it. I did find one person that had Touch ID functionality, but no home button functionality. Similar but still different enough to not be too helpful.

So...any ideas out there? Has anyone else come across this issue? Thanks in advance for any help!

iPhone 5s: Discussing methods for performing a glass only repair as a business?

So as the title says, I'm looking to start performing glass only repairs on iPhone 5S's, 5C's, Samsung's etc. There are several methods ranging from several price ranges, but for what I want to do I want a high success rate, and 0 bubbles. I want an efficient business setup (I am a business owner) to explore these cheaper repairs.

These are the two things I was looking;

The first, LOCA (Liquid Optical Clear Adhesive) Which is applied on the screen after separation and cleaning then after the removal of bubbles it is then cured under a UV lamp.

The second, OCA (Optically Clear Adhesive) which comes in pre-cut sheets that are applied to the LCD and the glass is attached.

I was originally leaning towards LOCA, and now OCA, but I have queries with the pressure methods of removing residual bubbles in the gap between the glass and the screen. There are two ways to remove bubbles, an autoclave, and a vacuum chamber. I am wondering, for anyone who has experienced, which works better for what method? Also, if the vacuum chamber is a viable option, do you think it would be possible to make your own (having the knowledge and tooling of course). Is heat necessary when removing bubbles? To my understanding it works best at roughly 60 degrees centigrade(140 degrees Fahrenheit). How do you heat the screen in a vacuum? Would any autoclave work? Or would I need to fork out the $1500 for a purpose built autoclave? What pressure is required for these bubble removals? I'm looking for the most cost effective professional method for performing glass only repairs on phones, while still having some level of automation and a high success rate? What do you guys recommend? I really appreciate any tips from guys already doing this. Thanks so much! :)

P.S. Could anyone explain exactly how each bubble removing method has an effect on each type of screen adhesive? I have heard that using an autoclave with LOCA would make it spit out the sides? The vacuum chambers make the bubbles expand and then come out the side, how long does this process take? It just seems to worsen it while looking at it. Sorry for all the questions but it's a lot to invest, especially for someone of my age (15).

Sorry if this belongs in Meta, I wasn't quite sure.

iPhone 5s: Touch ID Setup Failure

I cannot get the touch ID feature to work on my iPhone 5s. During the setup of the touch ID it immediately fails and never allows me to place my finger on the sensor to capture my print.

The back story on this phone is that I purchased a slightly damaged black iphone that had a cracked display and bend case (corner). The phone functioned fine, as the damage was only cosmetic. The touch ID feature worked flawlessly. I decided to purchase a donor phone off eBay that was white (my preferred color). I swapped the logic/mother board out of my "damaged" phone and put it into the white phone. The new phone worked well, except the touch ID wouldn't setup. My research pointed to the problem being the home button (touch ID sensor) from the white phone was not compatible with the logic/mother board from the black phone. Apparently the touch ID and A7 processor are paired together when phone is manufactured and a replacement touch ID sensor will not work.

Knowing this, I purchased another donor phone that was in pristine condition and black in color. I swapped the logic/mother board out the the phone again and replaced the home button (touch ID sensor) and lighting flex into the new black phone. So the current phone setup has the originally paired logic/mothe board, home button (touch ID sensor), and lightning flex cable. Despite taking great care to ensure no parts were damaged and everything was installed correctly the phone still fails touch ID setup.

I have repaired several dozen iphones and I am very confident that no parts have been damaged during my repairs. I have tried restoring phone to new and the setup for touch ID still fails. I have tried both 8.1 and 8.1.1 ios software...no luck.

I am at a loss. Did exposing the A7 to an unpaired home button permanently disable touch ID forever (even after reintroducing the originally paired sensor)? Is there a security feature the permanently disables touch ID when a non-paired sensor is installed?

I visited my local apple store and talked with a "genius." I was told the touch ID feature should work, but I wasn't convinced that he was confident in his answer. Any ideas?

So recently my phone has been getting productively worse. It started with like ghostly clicks on things I don't want and it just writing complete jibberish when I'm trying to write something to my friends. I have not tried to open up my iPhone or do i want to. I have tried to restart and just turning off and on but the rectangles are still there. The area it is affecting the most is right where it would say swipe right to unlock on the lock screen. Or for better perspective on the keyboard it is along the line that allows you to capitalize, z, x, c, v, b, n, m, and delete, all those are currently useless. Another thing is it doesn't respond on the screen where I want it to.
