DualSense Controller v2: Stuck D-Pad even after cleaning

Hey y'all, my down button on the d-pad is 'stuck' so that when I turn my controller on, it's constantly scrolling down unless i actively press UP on the d-pad. The physical button itself is not stuck in a pressed down position. I already took my controller apart and cleaned the rubber + d-pad and the problem is persisting. Does this sound like a software issue then instead of a hardware one? Any advice would be helpful!

PlayStation 3 Slim: PS3 not start after reflow of bluetooth/wifi chip

Hi, my bluetooth was not working so i tryed this tutorial about reflow the bluetooth/wifi chip of a PS3 slim using flux liquid and a hair dryer for the warm air.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GppwrmXM...

After I did it, the ps3 is not starting. When i connect the ps3 to the energy, the red light is on, but it takes some time to get on. Then, when i press the start button, the light get’s green for a second and the cooler starts to rotate, but then, after a second it stops and the light puts off. Then, after some time it puts red again, and puts off again. The start button does not work at this moment. If i dissconnect the ps3 from the energy and connect again it’s the same, i can start the ps3 and the green light and the cooler are on for one second, after that they stops.

Maybe i broke the connector of the powe supply when warming the chip with the hair dryer? the chip is very near of the power supply connector.

Maybe the flux liquid has broken something? i putted too much liquid and it spreaded on the motherboard.

Exists a solution for this?

thank you.

PD: after giving a little more of warm air and mounting the full console now even the red light isn’t putting red when i connect it to the energy…

PlayStation 5: PS5 Error SU-101312-8 and 'Ghost Disc' - Drive won't take or eject discs

My PS5 disc drive is completely unresponsive and I am getting error code SU-101312-8. The console exhibits 'ghost disc' behavior: when I press the eject button, the console turns on as if there is a disc inside, but the drive is empty and will not accept any new discs.

I have already tried the following with no success:

1. Full power cycle (unplugged for 30+ minutes).

2. Restarting in Safe Mode.

3. Manually turning the manual eject screw (both clockwise and counter-clockwise) to try and reset the mechanical intake rollers.

4. Reseating the large ribbon cable connecting the disc drive to the motherboard.

The console still refuses to recognize the drive or take discs. I suspect it might be a blown fuse (F5401/F5402) or a stuck internal sensor. Any advice on how to test the sensors or which specific fuses to check for my model would be greatly appreciated.

PSP E1000: PSP E1004, backlight works but no image.

Hi guys, I'm having a problem with my PSP e1004 (Street).

I followed the guide for the Baryon Sweeper, tested it on a working PSP of the same model, and the service menu opens correctly.

However, I'm having a problem with this other PSP Street. Specifically, I have no signs of life other than the green LED. When I plug in the Baryon and use the key combination to launch the service menu, the backlight turns on, but there's no image on the screen.

I can rule out a display malfunction since I tested it on a working PSP. I've also attached the sweeper logs.

Using serial FFFFFFFF

5A 02 0C 97

A5 06 06 FFFFFFFF 52

5A 02 0D 96

A5 07 06 9D10102814 54

5A 02 08 9B

A5 04 06 E204 6A

5A 02 16 8D

A5 13 06 536F6E79456E6572677944657669636573 6B

5A 0B 80 0DE530612AF604061B 52

A5 12 06 B52A05EA71A9C442B90D4360B6E3DA84 F4

5A 0A 81 E47917B5E0AC1B66 E4

A5 12 06 A952B245889AA415B2A5B4C5630755A1 45

5A 0B 80 04859796D22EC8EE97 17

A5 12 06 7286AC1FA3233F9B4CC99BF82768CC03 D9

5A 0B 80 2FDCB327B248DF3139 F2

A5 12 06 9A97399D37CCC4D8E37E79BA7993AAE4 6E

5A 0A 81 E9EA4A37001413BE E1

A5 12 06 BD2A721F8BB37951867E11FE79F89D5C 45

What could be the problem? The PSP appears to be alive, but there's no image, just the backlight.

PS: The backlight only turns on if I connect the PSP to the sweeper and open the service menu.

PlayStation 5: Playstation 5 powers on, repairs console storage, and shuts off

Greetings, I purchased a used Playstation 5 knowing it has issues and figured I'd make an attempt to fix it. I figured for 100$ what could I lose.

Here is whats happening:
The console powers on, does the "Repairing console storage" (every time upon boot), finishes, restarts, and when the Playstation logo comes up, the Playstation logo stays on the screen for about approximately 38 seconds before a glitchy horizontal bar flashes, and the logo on the screen goes away, with the console turning itself off.

What I've done so far:
I have completely cleaned the system from dust, checked the liquid metal and made sure it was fine with no oxidation spots or ran off to the sides. I have updated the console with the required updates via USB directly from Sony. I have rebuilt the system, cleared the cache, and reinstalled the system software.

Any educated guesses as to why the system might be turning itself off at the Playstation logo?

PlayStation 4: PS4 Won't Turn On, Unresponsive power button and eject button only bee

I left the PS4 running with a game playing. A person in our household sees it and proceeds to unplug the power cord from the outlet (without exiting anything or turning off the PS4). Now I tried turning on the PS4 but it doesn't respond, either through the controller or the power button.

The power button literally doesn't do anything; and if the PS4 is plugged in, the controller light blinks twice or thrice then stops as if it has turned on the PS4 already. (but when the PS4 is unplugged, it only keeps blinking) When I press the eject button, it only beeped once.

I've tried various solutions around the internet such as holding the power button, replugging both power cord and HDMI, trying another outlet and power cord, and tilting it different ways. I was able to manually eject the disc inside, which causes the eject button to beep 3 times now.

I've seen people say that it could be a power supply issue, so I went ahead and bought one online since the warranty is void already. After replacing the power supply, nothing changed. Still the same symptoms.

Anyone here who can help me fix the PS4 or at least give me an indication as to what the problem could be?

PSP 1000: PSP-1000 won’t bootgreen power LED flashes once then turns off

Hi everyone, I need help troubleshooting my PSP-1000.

I was originally on official 6.61 stock firmware with no custom firmware installed. I then installed ARK-5 using this guide:

https://www.pspunk.com/psp-cfw/

After installing ARK-5, I made it permanent using the cIPL Flasher option.

On 11/06/2026, I copied GTA: Liberty City Stories to the PSP’s Memory Stick and started playing. It seemed to work fine at first.

Today, 12/06/2026, I played Liberty City Stories again and completed around two missions. Suddenly, the game froze, the screen showed graphical artifacts/glitches, and then the PSP shut itself off.

Now when I try to power it on, the green power LED only flashes once for a few milliseconds and then immediately turns off. The screen stays black and it does not boot.

Current symptoms:

Model: PSP-1000

Firmware before CFW: 6.61 official firmware

CFW installed: ARK-5

Permanent install method: cIPL Flasher

Game being played when it failed: GTA: Liberty City Stories

Screen froze with graphical artifacts before shutdown

Now the green power LED flashes once briefly, then turns off

No Sony logo

No XMB

No sound

No recovery menu that I can access

Plugging it into a computer does not register

Screen stays black

Troubleshooting I have already tried:

Tried powering on normally with the battery installed

Tried powering on while connected to the official Sony charger

Charger gives an orange light with the battery installed, so the PSP is receiving power/charging

Tried removing the battery and powering it with only the official Sony charger

Same result with charger only: single green flicker, black screen, then off

Tried removing the battery and pressing/holding buttons before putting the battery back in

Tried connecting it to a computer, but it does not register

Tried removing the Memory Stick before powering on

Tried booting while holding R for recovery menu, but nothing appears

Because it will not boot into XMB, recovery menu, or USB mode, I do not know how I would “wipe” it. From what I understand, I can only format the Memory Stick externally on a PC, but I cannot wipe or reinstall the PSP’s internal flash unless it can boot into recovery or be recovered using something like a Pandora Battery / Magic Memory Stick.

Does this sound more like:

a cIPL/flash brick from the permanent ARK-5 install,

a corrupted Memory Stick issue,

a bad power switch/power board,

a motherboard/GPU failure,

or another hardware fault?

The graphical artifacts before it shut off make me wonder if this is hardware-related, but the timing after installing permanent CFW also makes me worried it could be a brick.

What should I test next? Would a Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick be the correct recovery method for a PSP-1000 in this state, or should I be looking at power board/motherboard faults first?

Any help would be appreciated.
