Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 Troubleshooting

No matter what you do, you can't get your tablet to turn on.

If this does not resolve your problem, read on!

First, connect your tablet to the power adapter. Hopefully the tablet will recognize the charger and begin to recharge the battery. If it does not, the battery may be defective and need to be replaced.

If you determined that the battery was working, it is possible that the display is broken. If no light or images are visible, but the tablet has power, then the display may need to be replaced.

If none of the previous solutions solved your problem, check all of the connections from the display to the logic board. If the device still does not turn on, the logic board in your device most likely needs to be replaced.

Nothing happens when I touch my screen.

Try removing your screen protector or case from the device, and test the touchscreen again.

Caution: Some screen protectors may not reapply properly.

A soft reset restarts your device and does not erase any of your content or data. Begin by pressing and holding the Power key until your device turns off. Wait a moment, then press and hold the Power key to turn your device back on.

The touch screen may be bad and need replacement. The front panel (which includes the touchscreen and digitizer) should be replaced.

If the problem persists, the logic board may need to be replaced.

Tablet is too hot to touch!

Hold down the power button until the device shuts off. Let it cool down for a few minutes, then hold the power button until the device powers on.

If the device continues to heat up, the battery is most likely defective and needs replacement. Purchase a replacement battery, and replace the old with the new.

From the home screen, tap the Menu key, then tap Settings. Once in Settings, scroll to and tap Storage. In Storage, scroll to and tap Unmount SD card, then tap OK. You can now safely remove the SD card.

In the Power Usage dashboard, tap Battery Usage. Next, tap the application you want to close or uninstall.

• To close (turn off) an application, tap Force stop.
• To uninstall (remove from device) an application, tap App info, Uninstall, and then OK.

Begin by tapping the System Updates dashboard. Next, tap Device Software, then tap Check now. If an update is available, follow the prompts to install.

No audio from headphones, speakers, or tablet itself.

Check to make sure your playback method isn't the problem. Check all speaker connections and test headphones on another functioning device. If the problem is not resolved, your tablet may be the issue.

First try a full restore on the tablet to make sure it is not an issue with the software.

If the problem is still not resolved, try replacing the audio jack. If that doesn't solve the problem, your logic board most likely needs replacement.
