HP Officejet 100 Won't Power On
Faulty Power Source
Recycling the power to the HP Officejet 100 is a quick process, here's how.
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer and remove the battery from the printer.
- After the printer has been disconnected for at least 60 seconds, reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Plug the power cord directly into the wall outlet, and reinstall the battery. Press the power button to troubleshoot, do not hold the button down.
- If the printer does not turn on, wait 10 seconds, and then press the power button again.
Faulty Battery
Mobile printers have a tendency to collect dust and debris in removable areas such as the removable battery pack.
- Completely shut down the HP Officejet 100 before the removal of the battery.
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer and remove the battery from the printer.
- Inspect the battery and check for any defects.
- Inspect the metal contact connectors and check for any debris or dust.
- Reconnect the battery and press the power button.
Power Module Not Functioning
Confirm that the Power Module is functioning.
- Turn on the printer with the power cord connected to the printer.
- -If the printer turns on, wait 2 hours and attempt to use the printer using only battery power. If the printer turns on, your Power Module is functioning. If the printer does not power on, please proceed.
- Disconnect the power cord, remove the battery packet, and unplug the power cord from the source of power.
- After being disconnected, wait 60 seconds and reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Reconnect the power cord to a power source and reinstall the battery.
- Press and release the power button to start a power cycle, do not hold the power button.
- If the printer does not turn on, press the power button again. Allow the battery to charge for up to two hours.
Faulty Power Cord
Determine if the power cord is functioning. For this you will need another AC Power Cord on hand.
- Disconnect the original power cord from power source.
- Locate your replacement power cord.
- Disconnect the original power cord from the HP Officejet 100 and set it aside.
- Connect the new power cord to the HP Officejet 100.
- Turn on the printer.
