Dell Inspiron 15-7569 Troubleshooting
Use the following guides if you have experienced any display, battery, speaker, or performance issues regarding your Dell Inspiron 15-7569 2-in-1 laptop.
Device Screen Unresponsive
Your screen starts to act out of the ordinary
Faulty Screen
Power the computer on. The Screen may need to be replaced if:
- You can use the laptop’s trackpad, but the touchscreen is unresponsive
- The screen behaves erratically when you touch it
- The laptop can display video from an external source, like a monitor or TV, but not produce any kind of feedback on the device screen
- The screen has signs of damage like cracking and cannot display anything
- Device produces sound, but no image is shown

Defective Motherboard Wiring
In rare cases, the cables connecting your screen to the motherboard may have gotten disconnected, cutting off the screen’s connection to the computer. To fix this, remove the back cover from the computer and check that the display cables are properly connected to the motherboard. Touchscreen Unresponsive
Your computer is unresponsive or acts erratically when you touch the screen
Uncalibrated Touchscreen
Your touchscreen may need to be calibrated, which can typically resolve any erratic behavior. To properly calibrate your touchscreen, follow these steps:
- Type “calibrate” in the search bar in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
- Select “Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input.”
- Choose “Calibrate…” under the “Display options” heading.
- Follow the guide on the next screen to properly calibrate your touchscreen.
Defective Touchscreen
If your touchscreen is still behaving erratically or unresponsive after calibration, you may need to replace your touchscreen. Follow this guide to replace your touchscreen.
No Sound Coming from Computer
You can’t hear any sounds coming from your laptop
Computer is Muted
While it seems silly, sometimes the only reason that you can’t hear any sounds from your computer is because it was muted. To fix this, click on the speaker icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. If there is a small x next to the speaker icon, then your computer is muted. Simply click on the speaker icon to unmute your computer.
Broken Speaker
Test audio through the computer speakers. The speakers may need to be replaced if:
- Speaker produces no sound when computer is on
- Speaker produces only static noise
- Only one of the speakers work

Laptop Cannot Hold a Charge
Your battery life is too short, or your computer will not function when it’s unplugged
Bad Battery
Check to see if the battery is connected to a live outlet. If it is properly connected and the computer charging indicator is unresponsive, you may need to replace the battery.
Follow this guide to replace the battery if:
- Battery takes too long to charge
- Battery ‘seemingly’ charges way too fast
- Battery life is shorter than usual
Laptop is Over Performing
Your laptop might be working too hard when it is unplugged, which can quickly drain your battery. Follow these steps to fix the computer’s performance:
- Go to the control panel in windows and select the “Hardware and Sound” heading.
- Click on “Change battery settings” under the “Power Options” heading.
- Choose the “Power saver” power plan to reduce the computer’s performance and increase battery life.
Computer Runs Too Slow
Your laptop takes too long to do anything
Too Many Programs Running at Once
Many programs can start up when you power on you computer, and run in the background without your notice. Too many programs running in the background can significantly slow down your computer. To disable some of these programs, follow these steps:
- Press “Ctrl+Shift+Esc” on your keyboard to launch the task manager.
- Select the Startup tab. If you don’t see the Startup tab, click on “More details” in the bottom-left corner of the window.
- In the Startup tab, click on any programs that you don’t need running and select “Disable.”
Insufficient RAM
If your computer is still too slow, consider upgrading its random access memory (RAM). You might need to upgrade the RAM if:
- The computer cannot handle certain intense programs, causing the program(s) to crash
- Faster performance is desired
- Your laptop starts to boot up slower than usual
