This is now my fourth year attending Eastern Washington University, originally I came in wanting to be a Dental Hygiene major, but as time passed I chose to pick another path in Bachelors in Science of Public Health degree instead. I am a full-time student but work while I am home on breaks. By doing this I am able to save money for myself to have while going to school, and in return can focus on my schooling.
Originally I am from the Island of Maui in Hawai'i, and though it was quite the leap Washington has proved to offer numerous wonderful things. Moving to Washington to further pursue my education brought me a greater appreciation for where I'm from, new points of views as well as new people, new experiences and a sense of family while being so far away from my own.
I enjoy being outdoors, experiencing new things and seeing the beautiful sites around us. Hockey games have become my ULTIMATE favorite sport to watch, especially when there's a fight, I mean coooome on! My family and friends mean the world to me, so I love spending any extra time I have with them.
Eastern Washington University's Hawai'i club, we do Lu'au each year for students and staff with dinner and a show. The people in this club have become my piece of home away from home.
The Island that has my heart
