(1) ok take another well known working charger and try that could be a bad cable (2) look near around port give it a blow or wipe ensure its clean no loose particle (3) lastly if none work you , take the charger back to another advice verify charge if not there may a charger port damage and need professional replacement. have you tried clicking continue? usually this occurs on new devices , you can go ahead and click continue and choose none in the credit card section than ok and it should allow you to move forward. if it doesnt , it means there was probably a previously used app trying to request funds for continuation, you can also decide if you wish to pay and continue or cancel the subscription if any.
hi it would be up to you if you would like to give up or not but the clamps do need to be in place with a solid connection to allow proper use of the digitizer. If you would like and have the tools you can try and solder if you have the parts, if not there is always the option of repair by a repair store but it is a kindle and anything after your replacement digitizer the first time may be costing you excessive money more than its worth. So your choice if you want to try and fix it, grab a new one completely, or just leave it alone comes down to its worth and usage.

There can be many reasons to this, if it is recent i recommend try to take it back to the dealership and have it checked out if possible before you start spending more funds.
Yes it would be possible to match up , but some research and power/current relations must be checked but i recommend going with the original part always .
