I was told that Sodastream couldn’t do anything as I didn’t have a receipt and it was a gift so get the purchaser to deal with it. Infact after tweeting them they were excellent and asked for photographic evidence of the manufacturers code inside the back cover. This showed the machine was within the 2 year period and they sent me a returns label then sent me a brand new model! They are very helpful so I don’t think it is a rarity that these machines malfunction!
I have a sodastream fizzi and water shoots everywhere. A little red plug came out when I pressed the gas button. It is brand new, arrived as a birthday present yesterday. Instructions followed to the T!
