Could you clarify the statement “The OnePlus 5T doesn't use a lot of adhesive“? Do you mean that it uses adhesive, but only a little? Or do you mean that it doesn’t use any adhesive at all to secure the back, just the clamps?
It would have been nice if actual instructions had been included here. I just ruined by tablet trying to replace the daughterboard. I could have used some advance warning about how fragile those ribbon cables are, and how easy it is to bend the metal edge of the case and crack the screen trying to screw it back together. Some guidance about the daughterboard connectors would also have been handy.
Was unable to accomplish this step. All I got was a bent SIM card removal tool and a (leather) back panel that hadn't budged.
