I also wanted to add that showing the steps of re-assembly would be very helpful for this guide. There are enough subtle differences to make that valuable. One thing that would be helpful is showing how to have the individual bits stick back down. Also a simple but easily missed part is that the replacement screen actually has a thin plastic film covering the glue. If you neglect to remove that film sticking the new screen down would appear to not work well.
In reference to a shattered screen, it is possible to fix it just takes a lot of time. I used tape to keep most of it together. Instead of the suction pull thingie I used the opening tool to gently pry the larger pieces up or at least push them in a bit to slip the opening pick in. You then fold over the screen thats taped together and begin picking the shards out of the glue around the rim. If the glue is cooled it is actually easier to pull it up with the shards attached.
