I had to upgrade the RAM in my 2007 Mac Book Pro 15" in order to install and run IOS Maverick smoothly. I was running on 2 gigs of ram and based on some web research I did, I had to upgrade my RAM to at least 4 gigs. I went to the Apple store to see if they provided this service and how much they were going to charge and realized it was too much for parts and labor (how surprising). So I went to ifixit.com.

Changing out the RAM on my Mac Book Pro 15" was as simple as plugging my laptop into a wall outlet. Thats how easy it is. I went on line to ifixit.com and look up the repair guide for my MacBook Pro 15" Core 2 Duo Models A1226 and A1260 RAM replacement and followed the three very simple instruction steps.

No further advice.... The instructions in the repair guide for a MacBook Pro 15" Core 2 Duo Models A1226 and A1260 RAM replacement can't get any more basic and simple to follow. GOOD JOB IFIXIT.COM TEAM!!
