Easy peasy, lemon squeezy battery upgrade on mid-2010 MBP

Due to an upcoming trip, I finally decided to upgrade the original battery in my mid-2010 MacBook Pro. I contemplated purchasing the replacement on Amazon, eBay, or directly from Apple, but decided to go with iFixit after using their other products for multiple Mac repairs over the past 10 years. The battery and install tools arrived quickly and were well packed. When comparing the new battery to the original, I could not see any difference in the exterior of the case and the fittings.

Repairs don't get much easier than this one. Remove the screws from the back of the case (and remember which holes get the long screws), remove the back, remove the two screws that hold the battery in place, and use the spudger to remove the power connector from the battery. Attach the power connector to the new battery and reverse the steps to remove the old battery. Voila!

As mentioned above, this is a repair than anyone can do for themselves.
