My MacBook Pro 15" fell down three times! Careless me, I know! I had to replace the lower case.

IFIxit proved to be the right partner. Fast and accurate responses. All needed tools. After all these I felt very confident to proceed for the replacement! Following the step by step guide I managed to disassemble my Mac and put it back to a working beauty! It worked immediately when I pressed the ON button!!! I was thrilled!

我的建议

I would like to have two more warnings before I start the disassembly:

1. (TIp:) for every step -where needed- wrap the screws in a piece of paper, separately for each sub step, close it, and mark it (with size, colour etc). It will be extremely helpful for the assembly! There are quite a few sizes and types of screws, which will for sure confuse us during the assembly.

2. The battery release tabs were not included in the used lower case I bought. I had to transfer them from my lower case. Even though it is not difficult, one should be very careful when releasing the two screws: there is a spring inside (see attached photos), which -if not very careful- jumps out, and nobody knows where it will land!...

As regarding the tools, "54 bit drive kit", the quality is not so good. They are not made of so hard material. T6 is now useless!
