Malfunction ports on the right side of MBP 15" (mid 2012)

USB, HDMI and card reader did not respond due to the surge on the I/O board.

我的修理方法

First, I tried to reset SMC and PRAM, but both did not work in my case. So, I opened up my MAC to investigate the cause of this. I unplug and plugin again the power cable that connect the battery to the logic board to force reset all components. It was like a magic, the I/O board came back to life!

我的建议

I thought I have to pay for a new I/O board, but lucky me, I didn't have to as it was just the case like "Have you try restart your computer?". Yes, sometime it just happens. Just check things right before ordering any replacement parts.
