Push in memory chip until it locks; replace the memory covers.

Push the long edge of the memory module down until the retaining clips lock the module into place.
If the memory module is not installed properly, the computer may not boot properly. No error message indicates this failure.
Replace the memory cover and tighten the captive screws.
If the cover is difficult to close, remove the memory module and reinstall it. Forcing the cover to close may damage your computer.
