Unscrew the three 4.6 mm screws holding the panel using a #1 size Phillips head screwdriver. The panel is centered on the bottom of the laptop.

Remove the panel, firmly lifting from the indent. It is recommended that you leave the screws in the panel.

Unscrew the 3.9 mm screw located at the bottom right of the panel.

Use a plastic opening tool to pry the CD drive out of the casing.

Once the CD drive is out far enough to grip, pull the CD drive out to the right.
