If by troubleshooting you have determined that your USB cord is defective, you will need to replace it. This guide will demonstrate how to replace a faulty USB cord.

  1. Remove the plastic cover and pack of weights. Remove the two 1.0 mm foam covers with tweezers. Peel away the plastic screw cover with tweezers.
    • Remove the plastic cover and pack of weights.

    • Remove the two 1.0 mm foam covers with tweezers.

    • Peel away the plastic screw cover with tweezers.

  2. Remove the four 1.0 mm screws with a Ph #1 screwdriver. Gently remove the top of the mouse.
    • Remove the four 1.0 mm screws with a Ph #1 screwdriver.

    • Gently remove the top of the mouse.

  3. Locate the 5-pin connector on the mouse's motherboard. Use the tweezers to carefully pull the  5-pin connector off. Do this by grasping the connector and wiggling it back and forth until it is off. Once removed, place new 5-pin connector on in the same way.
    • Locate the 5-pin connector on the mouse's motherboard.

    • Once removed, place new 5-pin connector on in the same way.
