The Sony Alpha SLT-A55V is a digital camera that was released in 2011. It is part of Sony's Alpha line of cameras, which are known for their high-quality imaging and advanced features. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit. Then, slide the latch down to open the cover.

Most new lithium batteries are partially charged to improve shelf life. It is recommended to charge the battery after installation even if the indicator shows a full charge. Unlike nickel cadmium batteries, lithium batteries will provide better performance when charged to full capacity from a partial charge of 60%.
