Segway tires are thick and designed specifically for maneuverability. These tires are tedious to replace, but will save a great deal of money by being restored rather than re-bought. The tools needed will be three flat head screwdrivers, a large persuasion bar, and a clamp. After the tire has been removed from the Segway body put the tire on a strong, level surface

Use the clamp to squeeze the rubber of the tire until the tire pops off of the rim. Repeat this process until the whole tire is popped off of the rim.

Use your hands to squish the tire all the way around the sides to make sure the tire is off the Segway rim completely.

(a) Now that the tire is popped off of the rim, use the persuasion bar to get under the rubber of the tire and put it over the rim. (b) When you pull the rubber of the tire over the rim be sure to push the persuasion bar towards the opposite side of the tire.
If the rubber is not going over the rim, verify that steps 2 and 3 have been completed and the tire is completely popped off of the rim.
