Lay a warm iOpener over the LCD glass to soften the adhesive holding it in place.
The following steps involve prying the glass up and out of the camera. If at any time you encounter too much resistance, reheat and reapply the iOpener to loosen the adhesive.
Before beginning, lay a piece of packing tape over the broken glass to hold it together during the removal procedure.
Insert a curved razor blade between the LCD glass cover and the body of D800.
The blade is sharp, and can damage the LCD. When completing this repair, do not insert the knife more than 3 mm into the LCD window to avoid damaging the display.
