Remove the 7 mm Phillips screw from the back of the laptop which holds the optical drive in place.

Carefully pull the optical drive out from the laptop.

Remove the twelve 7 mm Phillips screw from the back of the device.

Use opening picks or a plastic pry tool to remove the cover on all sides then lift.

Pull the metal arms out slightly that hold the RAM secure by applying pressure with your finger.
