This guide will instruct you with how to properly and safely remove the Wi-Fi card in an HP 15-f305dx laptop.

If your laptop is experiencing troubles connecting to the internet, then there may be an issue with your laptop’s Wi-Fi card. The Wi-Fi card in a laptop is what allows it to connect to the internet wirelessly. Without it, the only way you would be able to access the internet would be through a wired connection.

Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

Turn the computer upside down on a flat surface.

Firmly slide the release latch to unlock the battery and slide the battery release latch to release the battery.

Lift the battery from the middle and then pivot it outward to remove it from the computer.

Unscrew two 5mm Phillips #00 screws on the back service cover.

Remove a single 5 mm Phillips #00 screw holding the Wi-Fi card in place.

Remove the black and white cable connections by prying the connections up with a spudger.
They should "pop" off of the card.

Using your fingers, gently remove the Wi-Fi card from the laptop by sliding it outward from its port.
