Remove the 6 bolts on the faceplate of the steering wheel.

Take great care not to damage the wire as you separate them.

After removing the steering wheel and paddle shifter, flip the device hub over and remove the 8 screws highlighted in red.
Depending on your model, you may also need to remove 2 screws on the outside of the feet.
After the screws are removed, flip the hub back over and remove the black casing to reveal the inside.

Ensure that the black plastic and the metal frame of the device are as close together as possible.
