This guide will walk you through the process of replacing a faulty or broken battery in your Garmin Nuvi 2597LMT. You may need this guide to replace the battery if you know it is broken, it won't charge, or if you just want to replace the battery. Make sure you are very careful when working with your device; you don't want to break any of the fragile components inside or rip the ribbon cable connecting the two halves.

Great guide. The only thing I might add is you may need magnifiers to see which side of the connector goes down as you reverse step 4. I bought a set of Husky star drivers on Amazon. The bits store in the handle so easy to keep. Start to finish on this job with this guide was maybe 15 minutes. Thanks.
