Flip the vacuum face down with the wheels facing up.

Start on the right side wheel of the vacuum cleaner
Remove the plastic wheel cap by sliding the tip of the metal spudger under the edge of the cap.
Gently pry off the plastic cap

Identify the e-clip located under the metal axle.
The e-clip is very small and may be hard to identify. It is a small metal ring between the metal axle and the plastic wheel.
Use the metal spudger to pry off the e-clip.
The e-clip is hard to remove and may require extra force.

Slide off the plastic wheel off of the metal axle
Be careful when removing plastic wheel. There is a loose metal washer and black axle piston behind the wheel that can easily fall off.
Slide off the metal washer and black axle piston from the metal axle

Remove the metal axle by pulling on the left wheel. This does not take a lot of force and should easily slide out.
Repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 to remove the left side wheel from the metal axle.
