Dell Chromebook 13 3380 Display Assembly Replacement

简介

If your Dell Chromebook 13 3380's display is cracked, shows lines, or stays dark even after replacing the display cable, the display panel itself may need replacement. Physical damage, pressure, or long-term wear can all lead to display failure. Before starting, power off and unplug your Chromebook, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical damage. Take care not to scratch or bend the new screen during installation. If your troubleshooting ruled out cable or motherboard issues, follow this guide to safely replace the display and bring your Chromebook’s visuals back to life.

    • Open the lid of the laptop.

    • Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove four total 3.4 mm screws from the display, one from each corner.

    • Release the plastic clips along the inside of the screen bezel using your hand.

    • Use a plastic prying tool or opening pick if needed.

    • Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the three 3.5 mm screws from the bottom of the display.

    • Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the four 1.2 mm screws holding the screen in place.

    • Flip the display over on top of the keyboard.

    • Unplug the video cable.

    • Remove the display assembly.
