Every time we try to change our filter, it is nearly impossible to isn’t the new filter because of resisting pressure. There must be some solution to this problem. Today we are completely unable to install the filter and do not know what to do besides calling a repairman. That makes for a very expensive solution.
Just dealt with this nightmare today. Removed old filter to get part number off of it, water sprayed everywhere and I could not get it back on! Filter area continued to leak/run water even without filter installed! Tried to turn water to fridge off by turning under kitchen sink valves off... (hoping fridge was plumed there) no luck, and could not pull fridge out from wall to try to find shut off line valve. I had to turn main line to house off and drain all lines around fridge (kitchen sink, bathroom etc) Found a store that had a new one in stock...came home and now that the house and fridge lines were not pressurized I was able to get the new filter on... Fridge and bins were FULL of water due to this nightmare. Also the mold that grows under water dispenser due to the horrible interior dispenser design is DISGUSTING I hate this Fridge!
Excellent information. Thank you! I couldn’t find instructions in the owners manual and the video on the Bosch website wasn’t helpful. I could not get the new filter in, too much water pressure and not enough hand strength so I had to shut off the water to the fridge. Luckily, the plumber showed me how to do it when our kitchen was remodeled. Then I couldn’t figure out how to reset the counter. This was very helpful. Thanks again!
