Make sure the computer is unplugged, and turned off completely
Place the computer on a flat surface with the bottom facing you.

Place a finger on the small tab on the left with the lock and unlock symbols.
Slide this tab to the unlock position.
If done correctly, you should see an orange marker.

Slide this tab to the right and hold it in that position.
