    • Move the battery catch to the "unlocked" position.

    • Pull back the second spring-loaded battery catch until the battery pops up.

    • Remove the battery.

    • Open the laptop lid as far as it will go. Using a small craft knife or similar, remove the two black adhesive screw covers on either side of the screen at the bottom, by inserting the tip of the blade under the edge of the cover.

    • Separate the bezel around the screen by using a jimmy or similar tool to release the clips holding it in place. Work around both sides and the top. Finally, turn the laptop on its side in order to work along the bottom. You should now be able to lift off the bezel.

    • Remove 2 screws from the bottom of the LCD panel.

    • At the top of the LCD panel, remove the 2 screws furthest from the corners. Support the panel as you remove these screws.

    • Very gently angle the LCD panel forwards and lay it face down.

    • Gently lift the transparent adhesive film covering the video connector on the back of the LCD panel, and disconnect the connector.
