  The release switch is at the bottom of the key under the unlock button and the trunk button.
  
  Slide the release switch to the side.
  
  While sliding the release switch, pull the key out.

  Insert the key in the inside slit to release the back cover.
  
  Remove the back cover.

  Insert the pointed end of a spudger in the gap between the battery and the key.
  
  Push up after inserting the screwdriver to pry the battery out.
