Water damaged, screen flickering

Hey! I have the same issue. Dropped it in water (like a dumb $$@) pulled it out immediately, stuck it in rice for 20ish hours, turned it on and BOOM it worked! And then the screen started flickering. It'll stay normal for just a second and then flicker and then stay off until I click the round button. So, now I need to know if I should put it in rice again, or take it apart and replace the motherboard or WHAT. I needs help please. (Still vibrates and everything also)

Hi Kaylee how long has it been since you dropped your iPhone in water? The phone may start to corrode from the inside which is causing the instability.

Kaylee, I do agree with Dradeel. This is a common issue with phones that are suffering from corrosion damage. Rice is a great first aid, but not a fix. Time to disassemble the phone, using these guides, and clean the phone. Use this as your guide. It was written for a 3G but all the points still remain valid for your phone. After you cleaned it, re-evaluate for further, if any, damage. If you still have issues with your LCD, replace that one first. It will be the cheaper of all the other options. Hope this helps, good luck.
