Loud fan after dropping the MBP on tiles

I had only had my Retina MBP for a week when disaster struck! I was carrying it under my arm to another room when it slipped from my grasp & fell on the tiles of my lounge room floor, landing on the corner. There is a small dent, which I am not too concerned about, but I am concerned about the right fan. It is rather loud – noticeable at all times. I know that Apple doesn't cover accidental damage under warranty, so I was thinking of prying off the bottom cover and having a poke around. Is this something I may be able to fix without voiding warranty by removing stickers etc?

Hey Jayphen,

Before you open the device up, I would recommend taking it in to Apple, since it is so new, and just letting them know the fan is making weird noises and see if they will replace anything for free. It can't hurt to check, and it could save you some time and money.

Yeah, I will do that first, but it's quite obvious it has been dropped. Hopefully they will be sympathetic…
